SANDRA DEBANIĆ // PUZLLE // PHOTO COLLAGE ON CARDBOARD
Micro parts of macro photography can be collaged, combined and interactively used by observer.
Photographs show cranes on the coast of city Rijeka. The same image is multiplied in various sizes.

DOMINIK GRDIĆ //INTROSPECTION // VIDEO INSTALLATION
In the room are placed two objects made of steel dimensions 150x25x10 . At the top both objects are open. One hole contains a screen (tablet ), the second contains a mirror. On the screen a video is playing the author's contemplation on the incidence of the spirit in the material world. An intimate self-portrait with camera in several stages of thought process .
Modern civilisation is in a transitional period from the Iron (industrial) age in the digital, while increasing the use of digital technology in people's everyday slowly adjusts to the reality of the idea of trans-humanism.
Such transition inevitably bring with them questioning of previous moral and ethical values, and to some extent try to prepare man to gradual adjustment of the coming trends." Remember , man ! From dust you came and to dust you shall return ."

CARRY-LEE HENT // FUTURE GARDENS/PARKS IN RIJEKA // INSTALLATION
Because Rijeka lacks green area my idea for future Rijeka is to build taller skyscrapers and build huge garden/park areas that are fused with buildings on different levels. Gardens/parks are filled with flowers, trees, children playgrounds, lakes, streams, walking/running ground and similar contents. Installation is composed of monitor with poster for gardens and audio that tries to recreate atmosphere of nature and sketches that are pinned on the wall.

MICHEL MESARIĆ // WINDOWS (MICRO-MACRO) // VIDEO INSTALATION (LOOP 03:04 MIN)
Windows is a loop video installation which shows different windows from different views. The scene exchange makes a rhythm and compares one window as micro to a cluster of windows on a building as macro. Behind every window there's a person, and every person has a lot of stories. Some windows are patched, fixed, some are new, some old, and some even empty, hiding nobody behind them. The video installation places the observer in a calm state by switching the scenes, but the rhythm that occurs every now and then encourages the view to think about all those windows, people that inhabit one urban cluster in a sea of information.

LUCIJA POLONIJO // POTENTIAL // VIDEO
Video Potential came out from researching zero-point field and from a series of photos of negative space - area between and around objects in photo. It consists of one video image displayed at the same time in 36 different ways in loop.
Zero-point energy is the energy of the maximum empty space (vacuum), where the movement of subatomic matter is closest to zero . The vacuum that fills the universe just is apparently empty, energy dead space. It is filled with an unlimited amount of potential energy that, although we can not know the senses, the source of all forms of energy and all existing energy frequency and source of all visible phenomena in the universe. No particle is never completely stationary but is in constant motion. Zero-point field is point that summarises all and represents the unrealised potential.

RAJAT SHARMA // BEDROOM IN NIGHTMARES (LA CHAMBRE DES CAUCHEMARS) // DIGITAL COLLAGE
The bedroom in nightmares is a recreation of one of Van Gogh’s famous paintings called the ‘Bedroom in Arles’. The recreation is done as a (digital) collage by using the currency notes from different parts of the world. The image creates a claustrophobia and a feeling of choking to the person living within these surreal walls of capitalism. This was done to bring out the irony how art becomes the ‘materialistic’ possession and how some people overlook the emotions behind it and just evaluate it on the ‘economical’ basis. Even though Van Gogh spent most of his life in poverty and died the same his paintings now are one of the most expensive to ever sell with one of them costing up to 83 million USD.

SANJIN SIMČIĆ // MICRO-MACRO IN ARHITECTURE DRAWINGS // DIGITAL SHORT ANIMATION
Many great artists around the world, through history, realised that understanding perspective can make their art look better. Perspective, a technique that makes the illusion of a 3-dimensional space on a 2-dimensional platform. Perspective, ''the rule'' that many artists need to bend to, if they plan to ''cheat'' the viewer and make him fall into a additional impression of the artists work. Perspective is, the main rule that I applied in my simple conceptual drawings of architecture. In my work, I tried to understand ''it's rules'', and follow them. Combining that with my subject of Micro-macro, I made a infinite loop of four conceptual architecture drawings that are constantly zooming in, were a ''Macro''(in plain view, a bigger building) is zoomed into, were you find a Micro (small) building that becomes, with a constant zoom, a Macro building again. A small touch to add, symbolically, is that the buildings that I drew, look similar to letters, starting with ''L'', and continuing with, ''O'' - ''V'' - ''E''.

HELENE THUEMMEL // PORT PIXELATION // VIDEO
Rijeka has its long complicated history with the port, and that port was always my anchor when coming to the town. The port creates the dynamics of the city, the coming and going of people, goods, ideas, dreams, wishes. On the port micro meets macro, different worlds, different dimensions are joined. Connections are made.
This work (poster and video) researched and questioned those dimensions and connections. The small people living and working at the port may have never travelled a lot, but in the backyard of their houses containers are stored that are coming and going from and to all parts of the world. And the spatial closeness makes those people world travellers as well. The video work is based on four pictures from the port and some streets. Slowly the pictures are pixelated with a self created video filter, that was made in processing 3. While the original picture is disappearing, and the pixels are talking over one lose the focus, but also the dimension: the pixel could be containers on the port, it could be the huge ships that are transporting them, or it could be some small particles of dust in Vlado's house.
Art is direct interaction with all the areas of society. Artists can apply their broad observation to convey connections and influences between variable fields. My aim is to understand interactions and reciprocity among different positions. As artist I want to increase my awareness, to understand and
reinvent systems.

ROMINA TOMINIĆ // MACROPOLA // OBJECT
Does motherboard reminds me at cities or does cities reminds me at motherboards?
Both has been developed out of the need for communication. Planning communication reflexes at some role in society. Roles that are played narrow space of their own, free communication.
The man voluntarily gives this game. Everyone chooses a social function, from general sociability.
This led to a society based on machinery. In order for such a society to survive, it need to provide some space. It is necessary to reserve space communications.
" The current social context limits the ability of establishing interpersonal relationships just by creating the designated area." (N. Bourriaud)

ROMINA TOMINIĆ // FIXED DREAMS // SKETCH FOR INTERVENTION ON A BUILDING
The area can not fail. It remains to be there. When a spatial function collapses then it needs intervention. Who serves dilapidated space? - The homeless. Is the space attractive because it is collapsing? Who is sleeping? People sleep. The building is sleeping. Stand by. Sleep.
